In-House Research
In-House Research, a project of the Shorewood Historical Society, has gathered all of the Society’s home history resources in the Sheldon Room in the Village Center. Resources, including telephone directories, maps, old street names and numbers, house design plans, architect information and many pictures are available for research on individual homes and other village buildings
The Sheldon Room, which is staffed by Society volunteers, is open for In-House Research by appointment. Email shorewoodhistory@yahoo.com to request assistance.
We also welcome donations of items related to your home. Pictures, abstracts and history that the current owner has already completed can be added to our individual house files for the benefit of future researchers.
See also, “Researching Your Shorewood Home” for a list of other useful house history resources.
