Donate Artifacts

The Society welcomes donations of items directly related to Shorewood history. Pictures and printed material are particularly welcome. Because our storage space is limited, we cannot accept larger items such as old furniture, household goods or clothing unless they have a direct link to Shorewood.
Donated items become the property of the Shorewood Historical Society.

All donations will be acknowledged by our archivist.

Donated items may be dropped off in the Sheldon Room on Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (Lower level of the Shorewood Village Center, 3930 N. Murray).

We also make “house calls” to pick up or evaluate donations. Potential donors occasionally have questions about whether their old pictures, documents and other artifacts would be useful to the Historical Society. We can evaluate the items in your home or business. Please leave a message regarding your potential donation on the Sheldon Room answering machine: 414 847-2726
