Volunteer
The Shorewood Historical Society is an all-volunteer organization. Donations of time and talent by volunteers are necessary to fulfill our mission: to Preserve and to Educate.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Serve on our Board of Directors – Set priorities, oversee projects, membership and budget
- Assist in the Archives – Solicit, sort, process and safely store donations; respond to requests for information
- Assist In-House Research – Help residents research the history of the homes
- Use writing and design skills – Use writing and design skills to produce newsletters and other publications; prepare bulletin board and other educational displays
- Provide public support for current initiatives including historic preservation
- Attend planning meetings, prepare materials for public education
Volunteer work hours are flexible; orientation and training are provided as needed. Contact us or more information.
