Digital Archives

The Shorewood Historical Society is pleased to provide digital copies of Shorewood newspapers for public access. Currently, papers from 1923 – 1980 are available for viewing; 1981-2004 papers are in the process of being added to the collection.

Shorewood High School’s yearbook, the Copperdome, is also part of our digital collection. All yearbooks from 1924-2019 are included. Society newsletters and phone directories are also available in the Digital Archives.

How to Search?

Click on “View Digital Archives” below and begin your search by word, date or event. Relevant copy will be highlighted in yellow on the found pages. On the left side of the screen are additional pages from the same newspaper edition or yearbook as the highlighted page. 

Hard Copies

The Shorewood Historical Society has bound copies of all Shorewood papers from 1923-2004 and original copies of all yearbooks. They are available for limited research if the digitized copy proves insufficient for the viewer’s need.

Permission Regarding Usage

Information found in our digital archive is for personal noncommercial use. Individuals must seek permission for any other use. The Shorewood School District granted us permission to digitize the yearbooks. Digital access to copies of the Shorewood newspapers is provided courtesy of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
